Trumper Violet

Wow! I just had my first shave with a Trumper soap today (I had used their cream samples before, and while I liked them, I'm more of a soap guy). I chose Violet for the scent and it's delightful. Very bright, sunny, subtle--the sort of scent that can put you in a good mood.

And the lather! I thought it would be hard to build a lather the first couple of times, but I achieved a great proto-lather in a few swirls (and that rarely happens for me). I proceeded to face lather and got outstanding results.

I finished up with an alum block, some Osage Rub, and a spritz of Knize Ten (interspersed with some water splashes).

Or a French whorehouse... but despite that I like the scent as well. The bitter base note keeps it from being too girly though it does cause occasional unwanted visions of unshaved armpits.

It really is a good soap. I reach for it often

That particular scent has had a nickname coined by the Godfather of wetshaving- une prostituées sac à main.

The Rose is nice too. Great soaps, nice scents.

You're not really comfortable with your masculinity if you can't use this stuff, and wear a pink shirt, without worrying about it.
