What's new

travel case

How did people travel with their shavers and stuff back in the 30-40's? I am looking on the bay and all I see is grooming kits but no shaving kits and grooming kits. Is there something made now that incorporates everything? Or am I missing them? The one I have does not ahve any place for my razor/soap/brush etc.

Do you really need something that specific ? A cheapo small case at the walmart shaving section should do the trick

You mean something like this? I got it at an antique show. (I've taken the old brush hair out and will one day replace it with new badger hair.)

i just bought a travel razor case on the auction site a few minutes ago...should be able to protect the jagger razor from getting scratched if i carry it on a trip.

I have used a 8X11, ballistic nylon tool bag as a travel kit for many years. It is military quality (stiching and zipper) and will last a lifetime. It works perfectly and there is plenty of room for other travel necessities, such as: a sewing kit, small first aid kit, grooming tools, a small mirror, nail file, fingernail clippers, a Swiss army knife, toothpaste, shampoo, aftershave balm, a small cup and an emergency fire starter. It has ended up being a combination shaving/survivaL kit.

I've not found much pre-war two kits with MEWs in them but other than that lots loose travel items... shavestick tins, a folding travel brush, styptic cases and cased travel razors.

I picked up this travel set at an estate sale for less than $10.00. It says is was made in Western Germany.
