What's new

My new travel shave kit!

So my band is heading out of state in a few weeks for a long overdue visit to the recording studio, and since it's been a while since I've been on the road I figured it was time to build myself a new shave kit for my pack.

This kit is the result of my own learning experiences a lot. I have a mug that I love here at the house, but I didn't want to cart it off on the road with me, so I went looking--and what should fall in my lap at Walmart but this nice little number. They call it a salsa bowl--but the size, shape and everything is absolutely perfect. Not to mention that the thing is nigh indestructible, and made in the USA. The shave brush was an experiment that worked out swimmingly; after my parents both passed away, we've been slowly going through their things, and I noticed this cap-top brush in my mom's vast reams of cosmetic material. So I asked my wife--are you keeping that, or can I try it for something? Lo and behold, it worked a treat, and once dry the slim cap design is perfect for the travel bag. The bag itself was a gift from the wifely one, because she knows I am one of the world's biggest fans of Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers. Add a travel canister of Barbasol sensitive (I lather foam in the bowl with brush), and a Bevel disposable safety, with a small bottle of Aqua Velva Ice Blue--and a nicer little kit I've never had. I could see myself using this setup out on the road for quite a while if need be. The whole kit, with everything considered, cost around $5 to put together, counting stuff I already had.
