TOBS Jeremyn Street shaving cream - micro review

so, santa brought some kickass Christmas goodies...including a handsome jet black tub of Taylor of Old Bond Street Jeremyn Street Sensitive Skin Shaving Cream

in short, this newish cream rocks.

the lather is classic TOBS, which means very thick and slick with only a small amount necessary to create a bowl full of lather. The consistency is relatively firm...far more so than the old TOBS formulation but less stiff than a soap/cream like santa maria novella. The scent is really pleasant and mild. i would describe it as green and "ferny".

jeremyn street is formulated for sensitive skin and is supposedly both allergen and paraben free. while it's far too soon to make any definitive comments about its overall mildness, it certainly felt mild with none of the dryness or burn you can get from strong cologne-based shaving creams.

as for moisturizing properties, i would say it's in the middle of the pack. it's certainly not drying (like WARS) but it's not quite as moisturizing as TOBS avocado, which i would rate as being one of the best i've tried

in short, it's another outstanding cream from TOBS. the price is right, the performance is solid and the formulation is both mild and mild scented.

i got my tub from westcoastshaving, although it's available from a variety of vendors

I received a sample with one of my orders. I don't have sensitive skin, but I tried it anyway, and really enjoyed the scent.

I also bought a tub from John at West Coast and agree it's a winner. I have tried some unscented creams and got bored with the lack of scent. Jeremyn Street has a clean scent that is not overpowering.
