Timeless Tuesdays!

From the photos here and on the Web site, the Timeless head looks thick. A thin head, like on a Tech, makes it easier to shave in the tight areas around the ears and under the nose.

Is this an issue? Or is the perspective in the photos misleading somehow?

I think they make a slim head in titanium, I don't know about the other metals. I've never tried one. I have had a mustache forever so I don't shave there, but have never had any problems with it or thought it was too thick. YMMV

Thanks for the reply. From what I understand, the slim baseplate is more aggressive than the others. So it’s probably not for me.

Took 3 1/2 passes, but finally made my typical BBS shave. - The Lord Platinum is done, but no fault of the Timeless, they simply don't last long in any razor, 4-5 and done at most.

Seaforth Sea Ice Lime - Great smell that sticks around awhile, no need for scented aftershave. Hardest time of any soap I've used to get the brush totally cleaned out after use.

• Nacet (2).
• Pre shave oil from Executive Shaving.
• Hot shower with olive oil bar soap.
• Captain’s Choice copper bowl.
• RazoRock Blonde boar.
• Proraso shaving cream in tube.
• Nivea post balm for face.
• Proraso Gold after shave back of neck and chest.

The judge awarded a solid 10 today for Timeless Tuesday. Along with the Nacet (2) and a wonderful lather from Proraso in the tube, the 3 day growth went down easily and very efficiently. I really like the finishing touch of Nivea post shave balm and the Proraso Gold…..(So does the LOTH on this combination Valentine’s Day and Anniversary).

I recently grabbed a Ti 95 with the scalloped base plate after previously using a Rockwell 6S and Karve with a multitude of plates. This is by far my favorite performer. I was using the Karve the past few months but the shave angle was a bit too shallow for my liking as I dont like riding the top cap. The Timeless was much more effective for me reaching under the nose

Thanks for that comparison Steve. I have been eyeing a Karve for quite some time now, and this gives some additional perspective to consider. My Ti95 with scalloped baseplate rules supreme in my den.

My Karve is still a super high quality razor but with my technique I just seem to prefer the more neutral/steeper angle of the Timeless/Rockwell. YMMV

Modern May is upon us and after shaving with my Philishave over the weekend on a city trip I am back home with access to my full gear so I decided to start my Modern May with some very excellent gear. Luck would have it, it is also Timeless Tuesday!

Head shave was amazing too and the Ti95 is a magnificent razor for that. Went WTG ATG and ended up with a consistent DFS++.
