Timeless SLIM question

Does anyone know the blade exposure of the SLIM? Their website indicates that it's 0.05 mm, which doesn't seem right considering the shave.

I don't have calipers anymore, this kinda reminded me to maybe get some on summer sale.

This begs the question: Was it more efficient than expected or way harsher on the skin than expected?
The latter is the likely reason why many just don't like the Slim. It has a very thorough but more often quite scraping type of shave that is quite different to the .68/.95 models.

I strongly suspect Timeless know the exposure of their own razors and the geometry makes it harsher than you might have expected.

It's not at all harsh. It's just very blade forward and very efficient. I was just comparing gap and exposure with aggression and efficiency of razors I have experience with. The SLIM seems out of line.

For example, the Wolfman WR1 0.61 gap has an exposure of 0.1, yet it's a very mild razor. The WR2 1.15, also fairly mild, has an exposure of 0.09. The SLIM, on the other hand, has a listed gap of 0.5 and exposure of 0.05. Just by the numbers, it should be mild, but it's not at all. It's smooth and efficient but very blade forward. Some people do even consider it too aggressive.

This seems to undermine common gap/exposure knowledge.

I read quite some favorable reviews of the Slim, how it does what it does was never discussed or analyzed, though.

IMO: could to be due to the rigid clamping and angle. For this one the exposure is probably already at the border of cutting into the flesh.

One can use it quite shallow in angle with a light touch, I finish always or even start with a steep, scraping type of shave. I can often shave away a low layer of stubble that milder razors often can't get.

The Slim is definitely among my absolute darlings, together with Superslant/Wunderbar.
