Timeless Slim 0.5 if I already own a Lupo? (And maybe 921-H)

I have the opportunity to buy a Timless Slim 0.5 with a smooth cap and love the head design of the timeless. That being said it appears to be a bit more of a shallower shaver and very similar to the Lupo in terms of efficiency and blade feel so would it be a bit redundant to own both if I already love my Lupo at a fraction of the price?

I suppose if you've read this far the other razor I'm considering is the Yates 921-H. I like the Merica a lot but feel I would like just a bit more efficiency to prevent myself from going over the same trouble spots so much. Again the Lupo really fits this so maybe I'm starting to really play in the margins here.

Cool and slimy
The Slim is definitely more aggressive and a very different design. They are not very comparable. The Yates EH is already milder than the Slim. But it is also more efficient than the Lupo. You can get that extra bit closer.

I was hoping you'd reply actually. I saw some responses to previous posts about the Slim but didn't quite get the info I was looking for. I have used and sold along the Lupo 95SB and OC because it was a bit more aggression than I wanted and really prefer the 58SB followed by the 72OC but that's pushing it.

Maybe if the Merica had a bit more blade exposure I would like it more, so what would be your recommendation of something like more of a Lupo blade exposure but a smaller gap and prefers a steeper angle?

It sounds the Slim might be a bit of a gamble vs the price for me, although I'm sure I could sell it back with only a small hit but prefer not to chance it, or go into it thinking I'd want to sell it.

For me the Lupo and Yates H shave better and closer than the Slim. I had the Slim twice and never could get any efficiency out of it. It did not feel very aggressive, always smooth, just didn’t cut very close.

The Lupo and Yates H on the other hand shave lights out for me. The Yates H is one of my top 5 razors….love it.

I've talked myself out of it. I'd rather try the 921 first for about half the price. I have the Merica, and just ordered a Winning on their last stock notification so hoping it arrives in a couple weeks. I also have the Lupo 58 and 72OC that are going to remain permanent in my collection for sure. That 58 is really just about my perfect razor and what I compare everything else too at this point.

I'm a Ti Bird loyalist but just acquired the brass Yate H plate. Didn't think I would like something with such a baby exposure but the efficiency is really good. I just got to get a few more shaves to get used to it. On that I had the Lupo .95 OC and just did not agree with it.

Why not try putting a shim or two in your Merica? A very cheap way to increase its efficiency.

I don't want more blade gap but rather blade exposure. Based on how I responded to the full lineup of Lupos the exposure is better for me but a bigger gap created for weepers. That being said if there isn't much exposure I tend to use too much pressure to get the feedback which created irritation which is why I think that Lupo 58 hits such a sweet spot for me. Heck, I think I'd Love a .30 Lupo even
