I am reverting to my earlier blade choice. The first Tiger I loaded was a nasty beast! But I tried my very last Tiger from a tuck of 5 in my grandfather’s Tech, and it was nice. Tomorrow is the New Year of the Tiger, so I want to go with this.

Shave #1

My first ever use of Personna Platinum. Wonderfully smooth, on not so modest growth (usually shave daily or every 2 days) but didn't have any complains. Just some "dry weepers" (not actual cut but more a skin crack) due to my ongoing cold and poor hydration, but they disappeared after water-rinse only. No after-shave burn (Fa - Dark Passion) and no skin-tight feel afterwards. Arko soap as announced. Looking forward to see how far I can push this blade

Good 3 pass first shave.

My Variant from the early run has uneven blade exposure on both sides and needs fiddling with the top cap to give a decent shave. It's manageable.

The Variant is built like a tank and is stunning to look at. I wish their QC was equally stunning. It's extremely hit or miss for any razor they sell.

I intend to make it a 2 pass shave to extend blade life. Remains to be seen how the blade holds out for sharpness.

I can become better acquainted with the razor and satisfy my curiosity about blade longevity all at once. I'll probably dial it back to two-pass shaves to ensure the blade makes it past the typical two week DE/SE benchmark.

Beautiful shick injector sir! I find the injectors to be very smooth and efficient with the Schick brand blades. I'm fairly new to them my wife bought me one for Christmas and I have since acquired 3 more!

Thank you. It came in last week and my first shave with it Sunday morning was rather surprising in that there was no learning curve at all. Finding the proper angle was very intuitive. And then yesterday it reminded me that it is still a razor and deserves respect. Nothing serious; just a little nick on my nostril to get my attention.

Two passes and touch up on two-days growth for a fair shave (noticed some stubble after putting away my tools).

Used a razor I've been using for a couple weeks to make the comparison to my last few shaves a little easier. And the Racer doesn't compare to the Personna lab blue. My tenth shave with that combo was better than today's. That said, I had no irritation and almost zero alum sting with the Racer. We'll see how it pairs with another razor.

Yeah I too was surprised at just how easy they are to use! It's a shame that they aren't very popular and that there are not many blade options out there. I still love my DE razors but the Injectors have found a place in my rotation

Bic is my favourite and can certainly go the distance. I hope you enjoy it. I find it performs best after 4 or 5 shaves, and after that it just goes on forever.

Shave #1.

So let's get this thing started.

The debut shave was flawless, the blade lived up to its name... at least for the second syllable. This blade definitely is a sharp one. Now the duration of "perma" has to be defined more in detail.

Anyway, paired with the Rocca the blade mowed away my stubble with ease and made for a very nice Tallow Tabac Tuesday. 2 passes with some buffing today, almost BBS.
