I adore raw brass with patina.

My Karve is progressing nicely with a nice, even patina developing.

I wipe it with a towel after use to prevent water spots, but the darkening is just gorgeous!

Would you share some pictures? Since I forced patina on mine, I would love to see what would had happened if I had let it form patina gradually.

Nice, it looks great. I wonder how much darker it will get.

The darkening has really slowed down. It's now incredibly gradual that I hardly notice it changing.

But it is happening because when I have a break from seeing it in daily use (when I travel or use different razors for a while) then I notice it when I see it again.

Even if it remained at this level, I'd be fine with it as the brass has formed its character.

Very nice...
I assume you leave the blade in the razor in between shaves, then?

I sure do.
I don't baby my shaving tools. I respect them but don't baby them :)

Just a quick wipe down of the exterior with a towel after use.

Thank you.
Interesting to see that, even with the blade left in, there’s fairly even patina on the inside of the topcap and on the top of the baseplate.
I would have expected to maybe see some water stains in there, since you can’t fully dry or wipe those surfaces without opening the razor and removing the blade...
