It's a good idea. What is so sad is that people can't behave themselves. Text messages can wait. It is so infuriating to try and converse with someone while they are texting someone else. It is very inconsiderate.
I'm one of the people who can't wait to read a txt or email. That being said, I can wait to txt/email someone back. Good idea none the less.
Depends who I'm with - with friends and colleagues we have no problem holding a conversation while texting. With bosses or customers, not so much.
