Paging Leresche owners. Are we sure the top caps arent Zamak?think the black handled one is zamak
I am far from a Leresche expert, having only owned six or seven examples, but I am pretty sure none of mine had a zamak cap. That said I have never owned that particular model. To be honest, in my opinion, the quality of the finish of the underside of that cap does not look up to the standard I would expect in a Leresche razor.Paging Leresche owners. Are we sure the top caps arent Zamak?
This happened to me this morning...

I fear the previous owner already encountered this problem and tried to fix it with Marine weld. It looked off from the start. At least I managed to get 3 shaves out of it.the underside of that cap does not look up to the standard I would expect in a Leresche razor.
I could have guessed, only paid 14 euro's for it.And yes the previous owner tried to reglue the screw or to glue a compatible one.
Take it to a jeweler, one of the old time shops that do repairs, not a chain store. It might be savable, especially if it is brass.I could have guessed, only paid 14 euro's for it.
Still think he should have mentioned it.
But, what can one do. Better luck next time. Glad it didn't break off during the shave
