With a little help from Luc, we had a serious go at a lot of 41 straights on ebay. Unfortunately it went a little higher than we were happy to go so we missed out.

Anyway, I consoled myself by buying this.

It's a 6/8 Charles Lewis with monkey tail and bone scales. I just happened to be in theright place at the right time.

Now comes the wait for it to arrive.

I was watching that 41 razor lot on eBay. That thing had some SERIOUSLY nice razors in it. In fact I'm pretty sure the buyer could list them all separately on eBay and make some pretty good dough despite the fact the lot sold for around $1700.

A member of SRP sent me a message that he was thinking of selling it. I've bought 2 or 3 custom straights off him. When I saw the pictures, how could I not grab it. I don't have a Lewis in my growing collection of customs.

Hmm...maybe something about that circle on the tail?

This one and it's brother/sister (Amund's red scaled, diamond spine, french point Lewis) are probably my two favorite custom straights.
