A 12 oz tub of EGR is around $40.
A discount for volume, no doubt. I paid $11.50 or so for a 1.75 oz. tin.
I never noticed it in a drugstore either. Last year was the first I had heard of it. Happy to have found it though.
Not for many years, and usually in tobacco shops or kiosks, not the A&P. Same for Mixture No. 79.
Time for a new tub of Granger. I’ll order a tub of EGR as well to save on shipping at the same time.
Mixture 79 is the one tobacco I remember very well from my early piping days and it is definitely off my list.

My first Half & Half pouch is gone. Looking back, I see I ordered it in mid-February, so it took me a good 4 months to use it up. But I have a spare, so no problem!
Smoker's Haven 20th Anniversary.
Finished off a tin of Edward G. Robinson Pipe Blend that I've been working on and off for a good while.
Finished off my smoking jar of PS LBF. The jar holds ~2 oz., so a bit more than the normal tin. I broke into a cellar jar of LBF from Sept. of 2018, so nearly three years on it. Refilled the smoking jar; LBF stays in rotation.
Emptied my smoking jar of Watch City Persian Slipper this evening. As with the LBF above, I pulled a 3 Oz Mylar bag out of the cellar and put 2 Oz in the smoking jar. Persian Slipper stays in Rotation. It is satisfying to occasionally pull tobacco out of the cellar. It makes me remember why I built the cellar in the first place!
2005 McClelland Christmas Cheer.
Pulled the last full bowl from my smoking jar of WC Ahab's Comfort. Now to determine if I need to refill it from the cellar stock. I'm guessing I will.
My pouch of SWRA is empty. There was still a quarter left when I had to slam on the brakes this morning to avoid a deer in the road. The pouch went flying and scattered all over the passenger side floor. My offering to Cronus I suppose.
Finished off my smoking jar of Sutliff Match Edgeworth Reddy Rubbed, refilled it w/same. That refill emptied a pint jar out of the cellar; 1 1/4 pounds of the blend remain in jars in the cellar. I‘m attempting to smoke more of some of the bulk blends I stashed away early in my return to pipe smoking three years ago. It reminds me of renewing an old friendship.
