interesting, but you realise it's a Dorco marketing scheme?

Wetshaving doesn't have to be with a DE or straight, the term simply means you're using water and a cream/soap instead of an electric razor.

I was suspecting it was something petty like that being that I'm a new guy here and probably got the terminology wrong, but are people around here really this snobbish? Holy crapperonis...
I meant no offense at all, I was just trying to answer your question. I'm really sorry if it came across differently than how I intended.

Oh, sorry about that, but that wasn't directed at you whatsoever, it was for that guy who simply couldn't explain it and instead chose to act condescending.
Sorry you thought I was condescending, but you posted a link to a website of a company that manufactures and sells wetshaving supplies and said it wasn't promoting wetshaving. The quote was simply to emphasize the purpose of the product Dorco sells.

For sure.
I've noticed people use quotation marks differently: some use them sarcastically (lots of us younger folks tend to do this), and some use them for emphasis. and of course some people use them to actually "quote" "something."
Here's the Tension-cutting knife. Where would you like it?
I noticed in the past year or two these overpriced cartridges have been put in those locked up plastic cases. That's when you know you're being ripped off.
if anyone every wrote an Alma Mater for B&B this would have to be part of a stanza. +1.

I know many forums are full of people who are rude and short tempered, that however is not what Badger and Blade is like.
I have never seen Tom make a rude post, and he is always helpful. not to mention he has a tremendous knowledge of razors.
It seems to me, as a third party observer that he was merely clarifying on the usage of the term wetshaving.
So, lets start over. that's an amusing bit of marketing for a razor with 5 too many blades!

This is great advice. I'm new here, and have been completely surprised at how polite and civil everyone on here seems to be. I don't think I've seen a single hostile post. This is a much different corner of the internet than what I'm used to. Would definitely give someone the benefit of the doubt before assuming that they were being rude.
