The Art of Shaving- Omaha NE

Art of Shaving is supposedly opening a retail outlet near me in Omaha NE at Village Pointe Mall. There was an article in our paper about it late in the Summer, giving a date in September for opening. As of today it is not there- No one at the Mall seems to have heard of it, and on their website it is still showing as 'opening soon'.

Any of our fine local participants know what may be going on here?

I haven't heard of it at all but I live on the other side of town.
This page states they will be opening soon and that they are hiring. I don't see a date anywhere though.

Thanks- the article in the World Herald appeared in September and stated it would be opening around 9-19. Apparently they ran into issues.
I doubt I will be a big customer if and when they do open- their products seem nice but are priced way out of my budget. Still. it'll be nice to go browse..

I haven't spotted any local, all of my vintage razors have been user grade from e-bay and some generous PIF's from here. You've got a very nice collection, any of those found local?

Hello Joamo, thank you for the compliment. Yes I've found a few of them around town- my two favorite spots are Back in the Day antiques on 26th and Leavenworth, and the Imaginarium in Benson on Maple street. Most of my high-end razors came off eBay, but I've found 10 or so around here.

I finally got a reply from Art of Shaving corporate- they have nothing to tell me other than that the store is still being prepared for opening and that when it is ready I should see some publicity. As mentioned I did see an article in the paper in late August with a 9-18 scheduled opening date. Something apparently malfunctioned. I checked again with the manager office at the mall and they still know nothing and in fact have never heard of it. Sounds like someone had big plans to open a franchise store and then something happened. Just thought I'd share..
