With heavy hearts my family and I sent our beloved shepherd rescue mutt on his final journey home today. He was a dogs dog. Loyal, lovable and all good things that dogs are. I will miss him. Have fun chasing rabbits, Wyatt. I'll see you again in due time.

The older I get, the more I appreciate and cherish our animal companions in this world, what ever they may be.

The more I observe them, the more awed I am by their obvious intelligence and other qualities, which are vastly underrated by many, including those who profess to study science.

Finding it increasingly difficult to kill any creature nowadays.
