Just got off the phone with an antique dealer to inquire if they "had any of the old straight razors" in their shop. He answered my question just like is typed in the title of this thread. I will report back LIVE, onsite in realtime. He opens at 10am tomorrow morning. I'm expecting Boom or Bust.... Nothing in between.

Mike speaks antique and knows how to get these guys to open up. Heck, he was one of them! In the old days when he sold on ebay I purchased from him more than once.

Thanks John! It is true, I pretty much know their dialect. As an Auctioneer, I work with many dealers and collectors. I have to remember to "dress down" and not come off as "city-fied" because the price goes up dramatically when the seller doesn't connect with you. If I come away with any blade like the 6/8 Bismarck Registered #300 I snagged the other day, I will be pleased!

Only saw about half of the razors he had. Very nice owner of the shop. He told me to email him and he would bring more from home. I probably inspected 200 razors. Bought 8... Left behind dozens that would normally have made the grade. Pictures of what I bought to follow....
