I want to try Tabac, I hear so much about it. What should I try first, Soap or Cream? I use both soaps and creams and mostly bowl lather.

There's a variety of opinion about the cream, some folks like it, some don't. I Happen to like it very much.
However, Tabac is famous for it's soap. As I'm sure you know it does have a distinctive aroma, which some folks find to be too much. For me, I happen to like the Tabac scent because I know that I'm about to enjoy a slick, dense protective lather.
As with all soaps a brush of a certain density will be helpful - I often use one of a small collection of boar brushes and mostly face lather.

I have the cream but use the soap. Sometimes mix it with MWF. And I almost always spike it with a small dab of 1903 cream, not because the 1903 improves Tabac's lather in any functional sense, but just because I like the way 1903 smells and they go well together.
I haven't found anything that beats Tabac soap for cushion and lubrication. But I do believe MFW complements it.

By itself I prefer the soap over the cream, but mixing them together is a fantastic superlather
Welcome to the forum. I love Tabac, and my vote is for the soap.
My preference is for the soap.
Either is fine but I would start with the soap. I actually use the stick and face lather.
I am one of the few here that prefer the cream, not because the soap doesn't perform well, its excellent, I just like the scent of the cream better

Your going to get a lot of votes for the soap and I'm one of them.
I buy Tabac for the performance and not for the scent (although the scent is OK in my books). That means that I buy the soap- it is a winner!
