What's new

Tabac, about time I tried it.

Being a shave cream and Cella user I thought I would not be trying or using soaps in my shave future. Well out of curiosity I tried MWF and Tabac because of all the post about them.

MWF IMHO is an OK soap. I really don't have anything bad or good to say about it. However, the ceramic container is quite nice.

As for Tabac, wow! Saying this stuff lathers easily is an understatement. The last couple of days I been using my horsehair brushes and the lather has been so rich, creamy and slick that it's on the same level or superior to the creams I use. As for the smell it has a plain barber shop masculine scent which I can see folks either loving it or hating it.

Overall this soap has a lot going for it. Glad I tried it.

Tabac is certainly a great performer. I like it very much but I do understand if others are not keen on the scent. Welcome aboard!

ive been meaning to pick some up, think ill have to do so now. think ill get the cream, soap, and after shave just for good measure. and if i dont care for it. theres always PIF :thumbup1:

Don't give up on the MWF! Once you get the hang of lathering it (I'm not saying you can't, but i've read plenty of threads on here about people having trouble) the quality of lather is definitely as good as with Tabac (imho) and without the iffy smell (again just my opinion!)

I enjoy using either MWF or Tabac. I like the scent of Tabac. The Tabac AS and EDC are scents that I find enjoyable also.

Since getting back into face lathering more regularly I am liking the MWF a lot more.

The Tabac scent will die down a bit over the next week or so. I think that makes it even better...just a subtle masculine smell instead of an overpowering one

Did you find somewhere in the Boston area that sells Tabac, or did you buy online?

Any of you guys use the shave stick?

Using a Tabac stick with a horsehair brush to face lather seems to me like a fun experience every morning.

Lately I have been looking at a lot of shave sticks to find one that I would want to travel with for a long period of time and Tabac is one of those on the short list. Others high on the list include LaToja and Irish Moos (along with the ever present Arko)

YES that is the Case I got from you in two of the pics.... THANKS again..... I really like that brush and appreciate you selling it to me.

Tabac is outstanding. Really easy to lather even for beginners, performs great and smells wonderful. At about 11 euros (or 7 euros if you buy the refill) you can find Tabac just about anywhere (in Germany anyway). This will be a hard soap to beat

Tabac will alwasy be in my rotation. No matter what else goes in/out, Tabac will always be there.

Tabac is a great soap. If I could only have one soap for the rest of my life, it would be Tabac. It's not the best in every way, but its close in every way.

I use my Tabac stick and face lather with my Bullgoose Beehive natuaral horsehair brush - luxurious, awesome shave.

Used the Tabac stick again today (dang you Dave:lol:). Another great lather and an incredibly close shave with a flying wing
