super adjustable 1/4 turn...

does the super have that last quarter turn that most fatboys and slims have? I have owned two and neither really had an impressive quarter turn...I ended up selling one on the BST to conscientious dennis and he mentioned this in a post sale question upon inspecting his purchase...and in order to air the situation out for myself I wanted to ask the community for input...if this razor has this 1/4 turn I was not aware of it and I want to be clear on it as I did not intend to sell a razor with anything wrong with it that I would not have disclosed...<-----terrible sentence structure

They are supposed to have the 1/4 turn. The interior of the handle is more than likely caked with old shaving goo. I had to soak one for a while to get it to loosen up. An ultrasonic cleaner would probably do the trick as well.

I hope that Dennis can see this thread not only to join in on describing the issue, but to see how to clean it up...i'm annoyed that I sold a razor in this condition...I just assumed that the super did have that turn as I thought I cleaned the razor very well before listing it...apologies dennis...we'll square you out i'm sure...!

Yes, it does, tho it varies from razor to razor for some reason (in my experience anyway). It is a very tight 1/8 turn on one of my Supers, a very perceptible turn on the other. Very unlike the 1/8 turn on my Slims/Fatboys. So I would not begrudge you if you sold me a Super with a tight lock-in. A good soak and some lube should unstick it.

good to know...I just have sold my first sales in the BST this week and I did not want to start off on the wrong foot with ANYONE...dennis has since messaged me and said not to worry that he is doing research also and his complaint is not with me personally as others have mentioned the problem too...I just wanted to be upfront and air the issue out instead of wonder if I had been inadvertently dishonest...either way, I apparently worry too much hahaha

I have one that has the 1/4 lock turn and one that does not. I haven't put a tremendous effort into fixing the one w/o, so I guess I'm of no help there I will say tho, that I notice a better performance from the one with the lock turn.
Sounds like an honest mistake, I hope you guys can sort it out well. (And let me know if you find a way to fix that 1/4 turn)
