Sultan Shaving Soaps (creams)

Has anyone tried anything from Sultan Shave Soaps? I find it curious that the name implies that they sell soaps, but they only advertise creams on the website. They are currently out of everything on the site, and I get the idea that they produce in small batches like J.M. Frasier. Garry is currently carrying some samples of the creams, and I had never heard of them prior to seeing them on his site. I'm just wondering what people think of their stuff.

I have been sent three samples of their cream. The first was a croap with very little scent and an ok performance. The second version was a little softer and had a mild scent and performed better. The final version was definitely a cream and the scent was moderate and performance was pretty good. I know that doesn't seem very exciting and that is why I haven't bothered ordering a full size tub.

Were they all sent together as different types or scents, or were they reformulations of the same cream sent at different times?

He offered up samples of his cream on another board last year and I requested one. At that time I recieved the first sample labeled Sandalwood, but it didn't smell of Sandalwood at all. I then received two more shipments, unsolicited, each containing another random sample (2nd was signature and final was vetiver). The final sample had an additional label that read "final formula". My only holdbacks are the price is higher than my standby (TOBS), the company mentions that it is using family methods dating back to the 1800s, yet I have received three different formulas within a year, and I just have way too many soaps and creams already. I would have no problem using up a full size tub of the final formula if I ever decided to purchase though.
