What's new

StraightRazors.com

I have never dealt with this outfit; nor have I seen a lot of talk about them. They are offering a nice looking TI that I wouldn't mind having. Anyone have anything to say about this company..good or bad?

Seems they sell a TI razor "Grim Blade" that looks pretty spiffy....I can possibly see one added to the quiver

Well...seeing no deluge of negativity (or positive reports either) on here, I decided to get one. Something about that "First come-First served" and "Limited Edition" stuff always gets my attention. Plus...as I have wanted a TI to round out the collection and have a soft spot for a shoulderless blade design...well why not?

Just looked at their site. Strange that they don't provide any information about themselves. Given their in-house manufacturing and relations with T-I, my guess is that it's a kind of puppet site for a larger company.

Any more detailed info on Grim blades? Who exactly are they, please?

No idea. They run an on-line shave supply store (from what I can tell) somewhere in Utah and/or Idaho. Their inventory looks nice but is nebulous at best when it comes to who makes what. They advertise their line of razors as being US made...OK.

They sell a lot of stuff made by "Star Customs" also

There is another website "VintageStraightrazor.com" that looks almost identical to the "StraightRazors.com" site. Hmmmm...

What I do know is somehow they got into a partnership with Thiers-Issard and unless these are the most BLATANT counterfeits on the face of the planet they look pretty nice. Guess we shall find out soon enough.

I think I saw a 'Grim' blade elsewhere lately - on some site you have to have a membership to log into it.
Huckberry I think.....

From the web site... "* These blades are on a first come first serve basis blades will ship on or before mid October."

I wonder what year?

Do they offer any wood option on the scales for the TI blade posted in this thread, please? The shoulderless design and square point are really nice, but I do not like plastic scales.

No...it seems there are no options to be had on this razor.

I wrote today asking they send me the TI with the factory edge; I would prefer honing this one on the coticule myself. Response back was pretty quick. They advised they could do so...no problems. Shipment is reportedly arriving today. Hopefully it'll be here soon.
