Like some others, I prefer not to pay for the wooden bowls that D.R. Harris soaps come in. What I found is an almost perfect fit are the aluminum canisters sold by westcoastshaving for $1.75 each. If you moisten the puck and press it into the canister only a thin film of soap from the rim of the puck is shaved off - not really worth mentioning. It provides a nice snug fit.
I know some like the wooden bowls and are willing to pay for them. But for those who do not this is a reasonably priced alternative.
