Stirling Mashups

I decided to take advantage of the great Stirling sample selection to 'create' a 'unique' shave soap.

(1) sample of Stirling Bay rum + (1) sample of Stirling Orange Chill + (1) Stirling tin soap tin

So now I have a lightly mentholated Bay Rum soap with a lovely orange undertone. It shaves great and feels refreshing. I like the mashup.

Now I have to plan a few more. Send me any ideas you have, or examples of you doing the same :)

That is a great idea and could see the Bay Rum being mixed with Glacial Lemon Chill, Lime, Glacial Satsuma, or Glacial Citron. I would think Bay Rum with menthol would be really good!! I wonder what a Glacial Bay Rum would be like?
IMO, mixing Stirling MITA 50/50 with Stirling Lime makes for a tastier margarita. :a54:
MITA already has Lime in it...

I did a thing today ... mixed Iced Pineapple, Coconut Lime, and Bay Rum samples in a tin. I call it Summer Bay Rum, and it is fabulous. Ignore the sticker :)

On days where I'm splashing on Shulton OS, I'll put a half scoop of Barbershop and a half scoop of Stirling Spice into my lather bowl.

Stirling Spice was my first shave soap when I started DE shaving, but as close as it is to Shulton, I always felt it was missing something.

I tried a sample puck of Barbershop last year I was thinking to myself that Barbershop's scent has something familiar in it, but at the time, I couldn't place it.

It wasn't until my sample puck was completely gone that I realized it was reminiscent to me of Shulton's formula, in some way.

I later ordered a full tub of Barbershop and finally tried the combo and to me it's a much closer match to Shulton than Stirling Spice on it's own.

That does sound like a good mix. I've been thinking about Stirling Spice and Stirling Lime, but yours sounds fabulous. It might be time for a new order soon.

At this very moment,
I am mixing Deep Blue Sea with Arko.

Are you still using this combo? I hadn't thought of including Arko in some of these mashups but it's pretty pliable. Hmmmm ... Arko Bay Rum, Arko Barbershop. I need to ponder this in more detail since I have 24 sticks of Arko ( just in case ).

I happen to have a Stirling Lime sample I'm working on. I think I might scoop a bit of lime with the 50/50 Stirling Spice & Barbershop mixture next time. Thanks for the idea. Oh jeez I have a sample of Satsuma too. Might be a while, but this is going to happen. I'm interested to hear more people chime in, there must be others!

I have this idea in my head of getting samples, quartering them up, and mixing from the quarters. I'm trying to think of a good starter set of samples to begin from.

When you make a mix please let us know how it goes!

Absolutely! This is a great idea once you choose mixes that you want to repeat! Until then I find scooping into a lather bowl works great.
