Steward assignment

As some of you have already noted, I was very recently invited to serve B&B as a Steward. I have just learned of my assignment to the Shaving Brushes Forum, which naturally was my first choice.

All of this has come as a great surprise to me. I can only imagine that my posts here were taken by the mods to suggest a potentially dangerous combination of 1) unbridled neurotic energy and 2) too much time to kill. Since I haven’t quite given them grounds for ejection, I’m guessing they decided to slap a harness on me in the hope of imparting a more constructive sense of purpose and direction.

In any case, I both proudly and humbly accepted. This is a truly outstanding forum. I welcome the opportunity to serve it and the broader B&B community. Please share your thoughts and suggestions regarding how we can make it even better.

Thanks to all. I am truly both proud and humbled by this opportunity. Building, maintaining, and advancing a community like this is not a trivial thing.

It's going to be great fun to work alongside everyone here.

Yes, congratulations Chief!! I've enjoyed your posts; found them interesting and informative! You'll be a great steward!

Congratulations! I always look forward to your posts about brushes. They are alway informative and well written. You are a fine choice for the position.

Congratulations Ken! You deserve it with your efforts to add some objectivity to all subjective stuff we talk about on the forum! I hope your new harness doesn't stop you post with the same energy.

Hail to the Chief !
I'm new to the forum however I've been following the Chief's post on brushes with great interest (very informative and entertaining as well).
Thanks and Congratulations

Probably more interesting -- sometimes like driving by a car wreck -- than informative. I'm still trying to figure brushes out. What's great is that will never happen.

I love razors too. Razors, it seems to me, mostly involve physics and mechanics, along with aethetics.

Soaps and aftershaves and such are also cool. More about chemistry and maybe biology.

But brushes, they take it all in. Chemistry, biology, aesthetics, physics, and I'd say metaphysics as well. Brushes are impenetrably mysterious. Seeking to understand them is not for the shallow or faint of heart. This is great work that we are about!

If only my wife could see that.
