SOTD from India

It had been a busy week for me. Too much running around. Did SOTD last Friday and finished one just yesterday with 6 days of stubble.

Picked up my R41 clone with Gillette Super Platinum (black) blade. I thought I would be fine, But this razor can take maybe 3-4 days of stubble easily but not 6 days of my hard and tough hair. I had great difficulty. Now irrespective of the stubble and the razor, this blade has always behaved the same with my face. It cuts the stubble fine, and it slides fine on the face, and then randomly it will cut me. It feels like a pinching at first but then later you can see the blood. Got 3 of those cuts. This blade is going back to my warehouse and I will try it again the next year.

Also, I think I got too much used to my Romer-7 Platinum which used to take 14 days of beard like a hot knife through butter. I saw this guy today on YouTube who takes down around 2 months of beard, he used Fatip Piccolo which looks similar to Romer-7 Platinum. Now I know the different between how open-comb and close-comb behave. They are similar in functionality and feel. The only difference is with open-comb you can take down longer stubble so easily. A new shave set up to start the weekend. After the fantastic shaves that I've had from the Feather Hi Stainless I will continue to use them for another week.

The Goodfellas' Smile Abysso Shaving Soap & matching ASL which are both excellent. The slickness and post shave feel from the soap is superb.

Another close comfortable efficient combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.
