DE SOTD, WED, NOV25th 2020

Razor: Razorock German 37 slant-Mfg 2016> excellent mid range, very efficient, 2 pass with pickups works for me.
Blade: Gillette Astra SP- excellent blade sharp & smooth with good longevity.
Soap: Razorock Country side- mild scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi lucky dice 26 mm tuxedo knot- excellent lather creator with good backbone for a gentle scrub with cloud like tips.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a clear dollop of Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my RR German slant + Astra SP blade.

SOTD WEDNESDAY MORNING, NOVEMBER 25, 2020

SWMBO and I have a condo in Philly we had not visited since February of this year. My daughter visited it yesterday to report on its condition, and also retrieved my nickel plated Shake Sharp Model 2.0 safety razor. This morning’s dome shave featured it with two stacked Feather blades. I own three Shake Sharps. Used to have 5, but gifted one to a friend at TSD and the other to a friend in one of the FB wet shaving groups. They are remarkable head shavers, and this morning’s dome shave was incredibly close and velveteen. My mug shave featured my Frederick Reynolds which never fails to deliver a great shave. The JR Custom Rosewood Silvertip Badger generated great MWF lathers leaving me refreshed, clean and velveteen smooth.

RAZOR: Frederick Reynolds 5/8 (Mug), Nickel G.E. Jones Shake Sharp Model 2.0 (Dome)
BLADE: 2 Stacked Feather DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: JR Custom Rosewood Silvertip Badger
SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub.

Thanksgiving Eve Shave Shallow Angle Shave

Preshave Preparation: Hot Shower
Preshave: Proraso White Preshave Cream
Bowl/Scuttle: Savanah Shave Skuttle with Hot Water
Cream/Soap: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
Brush: Edwin Jagger Super Badger
Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless shave 10
Razor: Rockwell 6S plate 4
Aftershave: Bosomo Alum Block
Aftershave Treatment: Face Wash with the left over Fat, Hyaluronic Acid, Nivea Aftershave Balm, CeraVe AM Moisturizer.

Results: Nice close smooth shave. There was absolutely no burn from the Alum. This was another shallow angle shave where I rode the cap from beginning to end with the exception of right under the nose, where you can’t get the razor shallow.
