On we go with the Feather SS Kamisori. I decided to do the first pass with the Kami and the second with the Colonial General SE.

Today’s soap of the day Mitchell’s Wool Fat! I have been waiting to dive into this soap and give it a go and today was the day. Lovely scent and what a great performing soap. Lathered up a bunch and slick as can be.

Lovely two pass shave with this combo of the Kami and General. I have to say there wasn’t much for the General to do but it did clean up everything leftover from the Kami. Many more shaves to go until I am comfortable with the Feather SS but it’s not been too be bad so far. Enjoy your Sunday, Happy Mother’s Day and safe travels!

Razor - Occam's Razor Enoch
Blade - Feather Pro
Brush - Graydog 26mm Silversynth
Soap - Chiseled Face Sherlock sample
A/S - Brickell unscented balm

I wanted to revisit the Enoch to see how it compared to my recent forays with the Hawk and ATT SE1. I have a sample pack of Chiseled Face soaps, so I went with Sherlock today. I don't know if this is how it's supposed to smell, but I basically got mild lemon and dirt. Could my sample have gone bad or something? It's only a few months old. Regardless, I did not care for it, but the Graydog brush is terrific. I said before it wasn't much of a splayer, but I have to rescind that; it splayed very nicely with a little pressure to provide a pleasant scrub while working the lather on my face. Slickness was definitely there, and the Enoch was definitely smooth, much more so than the SE1. It's on par with the Hawk, and the shave, as I remembered it to be, is very close and smooth. It does best with a steep angle, and is a lot of fun to use. A little mild irritation at the end but very low-level; all-in-all, an excellent shave.

ZEN shave

It's about approaching shaving in a different way than traditional.

Important lots of hydration before shaving. DOVE or Nivea cream.

Before Shave Baby Moisturizing Lotion.

After 10 drops of oil and massage.

We wet the tips of the fingers with water and massage.

We apply a more hydrated foam than normal.

Slowly and better with slow music ... For example, some Adagio.

Normally we use the razor using the shaving strategy adapting it to the razor as a shaving instrument or tool.

My proposal is different;

Important to use a heavy handle.

We can use the head that we want even the most aggressive. But first we will use soft heads.

We position the head with the appropriate angle.

We will take advantage of physical forces and less energy.

We will only guide the head that falls under its own weight without making any force in favor of the hair.

We will let the force of gravity drop the Razor under its own weight.

We do not use short or long strokes. In ZEN shaving, those concepts don't make sense. We just position the head without loading anything and guide it. And we can review as many times as we want.

This shave is ideal for 24h daily or even every 12h.

The objective is not to shave. The goal is to guide.

If the hair is very strong and by not carrying notes like skipping ... No problem, it is repeated that the head falls multiple times ... Here we will never use force.

The first two passes may be in favor of fur and other inclined lateral passes.

😁👍
