Excellent qualities from Stirling as usual. Nice scent, even nicer lather...creamy and slick!
The shave with this razor which I have had since 2019 but never shave-ready and thus never used...after being honed on jnat...was friggin AWESOME!! The experience was a smooth buttery edge...at no time I felt it catching nor skip during the atg pass even on the upper lips. Felt very comfortable...Amazingly it was efficient too. 3passes for a between bbs to dfs finish without any nicks, weepers nor irritation which is my first! Woohooo!!
I always thought a hollow razor tends to chatter going atg but this razor proves me wrong! I love it! This razor edge felt so much better than the previous 2...or so it seems...looking at the picture...is it a belied hollow?
Aftershaves were terrific too.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap. + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
Brush: Omega 1470.
Face Lather.
Lather : Williams Mug Shaving Soap.
Blade: Personna Gem modified PTFE. (D3)
Razor: Valet Auto Strop VC1.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezings, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils. + 3 Menthol Crystals, Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Lidl Cien Aqua ASL./Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave..

After the wonderful efficient shave with the assertive Gem Micromatic OC i only needed 2 passes + a pick up pass for my face to be silky smooth again....The valet auto strop VC1 is such pleasure to shave with from it's maiden shave i found my 'sweet spot' after a few seconds and was instantly in charge and at ease with this mild efficient vintage shaving tool.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups comfortable silky smooth shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a small dollop of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB which paired together wonderfully with the Cien Aqua ASL.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

The soap scent is...stout and aromatic! Lather quality is very good...rich, creamy and slick!
This is the 1st SR that I bought but never shave-ready with my poor skills. This time however...WOW! To feel hear & feel again, that soft whispering buttery smoothness on the edge...felt sharp but not bitey...incredible feeling!! I am still hesitant with too short a stroke, especially the atg stroke...
Sometimes if I let it flow and stroke longer...can feel the edge cuts smoother and better. Still learning and improving with each SR shave...truly enjoying the journey now...! No nicks, no weepers nor irritation for a dfs to ccs finish! Aftershaves were awesome!

First shave with the 37C. It's been a while since I used a slant, so it took a while for the muscle memory to kick in with the head orientation whilst shaving.
Pretty happy with the result, and I'm confident it will be better next time out.
