“The Empire Strikes Back”
My second shave with this Empire razor and I am loving it to death. It is just soooo….perfect. Smooth effortless shave. These wedge blades seem to remove everything in their path with the gentleness of a lamb. Effortless control over the mustache and chin area. I’ll put this wedge blade up against any DE blade on the market. I think that solid steel wedge shape provides zero flex so is smooth and totally efficient at the same time.
My first usage of this Squadron “Empire” soap. It seemed to be a perfect match for the Wilkinson in more than name only. Very smooth, slick and didn’t bog down the razor at any time. I haven’t read the scent profile, but I’m picking up a lot of rose.

Schick Sunday shave, June 27th 2021

Razor: Schick E2 Canadian variant, Mfg 1930's-40's not date codes, Excellent mid range, light weight & easy to manipulate.
Blade: Personna SS PTFE (2) very sharp, great longevity, tends to smooth out over time, predictable.
Soap: Razorock What the puck orange, orange citrus scent mainly, excellent lather qualities IMO.
Brush: Yaqi 26 mm 2 band badger Moka express, excellent lather generator, pillow like softness tips, great scrub + good lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + minor irritation + 2 chin weepers= excellent shave with my Schick E2 with a very sharp Personna coated blade.
