SOTD "FREE WEEK" February 3rd - February 9th, 2020

Pre: Nivea Men's Face Wash & warm water
Soap: Proraso Red/tub
Brush: Surrey boar 01304
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Astra SP (3)
Bowl: Captain's Choice ceramic
Post: Classic Shaving alum, cold water, Thayer's lavender WH
AS: Duke Cannon Ice Cold (nicely matching sandalwood scent)

Entering my 3rd month of soap/cream/brush use and am getting better at building a lather. I go a bit heavier on loading the brush than when I first started, and it's paying off.

A very nice 3-pass except for the part when I lifted my razor to go ATG and brought it too close to my face, nicking myself close to my ear. Ouch! Hard to be a glasses-wearer and shave with less than ideal eyesight. The alum block did a fine job of taking care of it with no sting, then I got out the styptic pencil at the end for good measure.

Soap: Barrister & Mann Seville
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: Super Iridium BN-84 (2)

A very refreshing shave. The only downside - the dreaded 'ring of death' has appeared in my soap container.

An overall nice shave but didn’t like the blade.
This brush is set with a 25mm silvertip that is not on par with what I mount on my brushes, and you can really tell.

Greetings from Santa Rosa, CA

Bowl: Handmade bowl, Mk3
Brush: RazoRock Silvertip Synthetic

Fanbloodytastic shave this evening. The mild plate efficiency level and blade feel is spot on for me.
