Soccer? Futbol? Football? Whatever you wanna call it!

Hello all :)

Was browsing around to see if any Soccer/Football threads were up but couldn't find any, so here it is!

Last few years I've gotten into the sport very much. I am especially a HUGE supporter of the US National Team. Very much looking forward to our last 2 World Cup Qualifiers. Whether its MLS, EPL, La Liga, etc, the game is just so much fun to watch and follow.

Anyone else a fan?

Yes love it. The greatest game in the world. My team Rangers beat our biggest rivals on Sunday so I'm in a very good mood. If we had lost I would have almost been in a state of depression. My wife thinks I'm crazy to get so worked up about a game but she just doesn't understand.
For all the Americans and Aussies on the board. If you ever get a chance to visit Europe make sure you go to a game even if you don't follow the sport. The passion of the fans and the singing in the stadiums is something you all need to experience.

I don't follow a specific team but I do watch World Cup, the various European leagues, and central/south Americas. I would love to go to a match.

Nope, bores the pants off me. A load of overpaid prima donnas!

Now rugby, that's a proper game...

Are you a union or league man? I must confess I do get embaressed when footballers fall over for the smallest of tackles. I do enjoy rugby but it just doesn't get my "battle fever" on the way football does.

I'm a season ticket holder to the Seattle Sounders FC, winners of the 2009 US Open Cup!

you beat my dc united!!!!! haha, but its ok, Sounders deserved the win. They are a great team for sure.

Speaking of DC, I will most likely be at RFK Stadium for USA vs Costa Rica, our last World Cup Qualifier!

Anyone else a fan?

I'm trying... I'm really trying, but as of yet... I just haven't "gotten it".

Maybe seeing a game live would help in reversing my current opinion of the game? However, the shouts, shrieks, drums and horns from my neighbors that obviously enjoy this sport hasn't endeared me to their brand of "fútbol". :confused1

(Fortunately, even in my location I can still receive the NFL Network .)

Football ... The greatest game in the World .....

Dundee United F.C. are my team .. My Avatar is the matchday programm v Barcalona in 1967 4-1 United in a uefa match ...

Away the Arabs !!!!

Well, I'm a Welshman so it's union of course, though I will watch league if it's on the box.

A bit embarrassing for me, living where I do, my local team is Gloucester, an English team!
