Soap samples

Newbie here! Just stating to get into DE shaving and so far so good. Still getting the hang of it, but generally getting very good shaves with less irritation than I get with a fusion. Using my grandpa's old gilette aristocrat with feathers, but thinking of upgrading to a EJ DE89.

Anywho, still experimenting around and was wondering if anyone knew of any places that sold soap samples. Samples rock. Money aside, it's also nice not to have to commit to a whole tub/tube before I can figure out how a product works for me.

While I see samples around for creams (I've got some TOBS samples in the mail to me), I haven't seen them for soaps. I'm especially interested in trying Tabac and Cella... Maybe Speik and Arko, but those are lower on the list.

Usually use proraso red soap which is great, but looking to branch out.

Anyone know any shops that sell samples of these?

Thanks!

Wow... I may actually be an idiot. I was searching around on my phone and just didn't scroll low enough. Perhaps embarassment is my punishment for shaving with my fusion this morning (running late and have not figured out how to shave fast with a DE yet...)

Thanks!!!

Mike's Natural Soaps, Barrister & Mann, Stirling Soaps all have samples. I believe you have to contact Stirling directly for their samples. They are not listed on the site.

Garry's sample shops has a bunch.

SRD. My favorite soap. Great scents, great performance & easy to lather even with my well water. I have full tubs of Opus X and Bay Rum and I'm working my way thru the rest of the samples planning to order several more tubs.

The Aristocrat is a very mild razor, I think the EJ upgrade would be a very smart move.

TOBS has great scents and are a cream/soap cross and Proraso just goes on and on with popularity but if you want an elite soap with great protection you need to look at Martin de Candre, Aqua di Parma and the Panna Crema line. They don't have samples. MDC and ADP are pricey, Panna is not so bad but also Razorock XX is an amazing soap for the money, under $10.00 and light years ahead of anything in is range. Tabac is good also but a distinct scent. Later on with some lather practice get some Sterling $5.00 soaps, phenomenal. Mike's soap is very very good and offer lots of samples but get the XX and try for some Panna, some Sterling and you will see what some nice tallow soaps can do over many popular but lesser soaps/croaps

I went with Garry's for some samples. Great way to try out some products.

I would probably go with:

Proraso
TOBS creams - try a few
Cella
DR Harris Arlington
Mitchell's
Tabac
