Melt them into a mug. Maybe 2 second bursts in the micro til it melts.

A while ago I put together an amateur video on using Sue's samples....
You might want to turn down your PC sound a little bit as I'm not a video pro and think I overdid it.

They're all good. If you like sticks, run it on your face. I'm not a fan of nuking as I like thescent the made they're made.

I haven't found that melting them for a few seconds in the microwave has adversely effected the scent. Just let it cool for an hour or two and it will be ready.

What brush works best? My chubby 2 didn't work that great not much lather. Hard to load with such a small piece.

Are you loading it from the sliver, or did you melt it down flat? Try melting it in to a bowl. Your brush should work fine, it's normally a pretty easy lather. You probably weren't loading enough soap. The key is creating a larger surface area for loading, and by melting it in to a bowl or mug you are getting that larger surface area to load with.

I hope you don't mean using it in melted form. You do want to let it dry first. Hot soap on the face no feel good!

No! Lol It worked better but not as much lather as I get with proraso cream. Is this the way most soaps work? I gotta say not too impressed with my chubby 2. My vulfix works much better..

Hmm. I have to admit that I use an Omega boar with my soaps and it just attacks them. I never have a lather problem. I do remember Mama Bear being a bit thirsty, so make sure you're adding a few drops of water at a time until you get the right lather. You probably won't get the instant billowing lather that you do from Proraso, but load it for 30-40 seconds and add a few drops of water at a time and it should give you a nice slick, substantial lather.

Press it onto the bottom of a container with your thumb. If you push hard enough you can smash it so that it sticks. Microwave not necessary.

I think samples are generally a lousy way to see how a soap works because it is really hard to load a brush adequately from them. I've not used proraso cream, but I find MB soaps lather as well as any I've used. The trick is to load them enough. It depends on the brush, soap, and how hard your water is, but my rule of thumb is 100 swirls of the puck for a proper loading (this takes me about 45 seconds). Also, hard soaps benefit from putting a little hot water on them and letting it sit a minute or two to soften the surface (Croaps don't need this)

I bought a bunch of MB samples a while back just for scent reference, not to actually shave with (I already had a couple full size soaps). Her soap works well, and I have no reason to believe that different scents shave differently.
