I don’t use my pellet smoker (LG-900) often for steaks, but I have a few times. I get it to around 300 degrees, add a *smoke tube* for additional smoke because the steaks won’t be in the smoker very long. Smoke the steaks until around 135ish.

Then the advantage to the LG brand is that they have a broiler function. I open the broiler and place the steaks directly over the pellet burning flame to sear until done.

Having said this, I generally just grill steaks over charcoal.
