Small Travel Shaving Cream

Anyone got any suggestions for a small tube of shaving cream for my travel bag?

Something this size

I'm not too keen on the Erasmic cream, it doesn't smell good

Proraso makes a small tube.

I am going away this weekend and am taking a shave stick.

Never used one before.

I'm going on a trip where I used an old (clean) contact lens holder and filled both sides up. Should easily pass the TSA (knock wood) and more than enough for a short-ish trip. I'll have to check back if it doesn't work!

another vote for Shave Sticks (IM being my favorite), but DR Harris & KMF make nice size tubes (75g I think)

Old Spice tubes are pretty small, so are the smaller AOS tubes of cream. If I wasn't able to shove a tub of cream in my suitcase I would use one of those.

That's a bloody brilliant idea!

Weleda makes a 10 ml tube which is quite handy.

Connaught (www.connaughtshaving.com) makes up 10ml "sample" containers of TOBS and DR Harris. Two of those would likely get you through a five or six day trip (fill from a larger container and re-use for your next trip) and would definitely make it through TSA or your country's equivalent. Don't forget to buy a small box of zip-top liter baggies to put creams and liquids in for your trip. For a longer trip Erasmic has a new version out in about a 75ml tube (also available at Connaught), Arko creams come in 94ml tubes (several online retailers stock Arko, Best Shave is about the cheapest if you are willing to wait for shipping from Turkey). Here in the Vendor's section Garry's Sample Shop is also a good alternative for travel-size container and cream.

I had purchased some cream samples from Garry a while back. I use the small plastic jars that he sends samples in and load them with my favorite creams for travel. Three of the small jars fit into a typical vintage soap/brush container found in many vintage shave kits. I usually take three different creams with me, so I have some variety when I travel, and have enough for at least a couple of weeks.

It's not a cream but Palmolive shave stick is an unbelievable performer, superb value, and super travel worthy.

Very true. The tip needs to be soaked before use so be sure to store it in a pill bottle (which you can put some water in to soak the tip of the stick before use).
