After shaving neck and face at shallow angle, I shaved my nape with a steep angle. It went so well and so quick, I felt around my face and neck for missed or barely trimmed spots and used the steep angle on them as well.

Changed three things last night: added CeraVe soap to my pre-shave soak, changed out the post-shave refined shea butter for a CeraVe-like moisturizer, and went steep with the Fatip. No, wait, I also ran a slightly richer lather with more soap, air, and water.
Going steep afforded me the pampering feeling of the Fatip Grande’s comb, but it wasn’t more efficient and the comfort was maybe the same, too.
Will try again with regular, thinner lather and see what happens.

I’ve been thinking about shaving with a straight razor a lot lately. Working on the 5μ silicon carbide lapping film this week to get the bevel set properly. Eliptical strokes; long, linear strokes; short, cross-hatched x-strokes; pull strokes; and more short, cross-hatched x-strokes has it currently sharper than my last traipsing over 0.5μ and 0.1μ diamond-pasted balsa strops. More shall follow before the 1μ aluminum oxide film and balsa strops are used.
With RazoRock DE razors expected over the next month or so, I’ll, well, I’ll have a shave-ready straight razor before my next shave with one.
Last night started Decemboar. With over 60 uses on my one and only pigarooni (Ω10048), my Maggards 30mm synthetic brush was selected.
Introduced a WTG pass. It was fast and comfortable and barely trimmed anything. Or did it? ATG passes were smoother. More experimentation is needed. Further confirmation shallow is gentler on my skin and requires I hit the whiskers at just the right spot or they’ll read journal entries from perches on my neck and jawline the next morning. Also, shallow angles negate that “every third day is ideal” for shaving my moustache area.

Right at the bottom of the neck, the finer hairs can often reverse direction. Have you tried going to opposite way in just that area, i.e. right on the boundary?

Shea butter was very nice, but not as effective and not as easy to apply as CeraVe Daily Moisturizer nor Walmart equivalent, so it was really nice, but not for me.
