So i had this nice Tsushima nagura and was looking for the bench size for it. Furtunatly JNS had a sale. So i could get this one it came in a nice box for it.
Well over a month later, number 71 arrived safe and sound.
Thats a smooth and homogeneous yellow, nice stone! It will probably perform similar to its looks but tell us anyway how it will sharpen your razors

Thanks, it's from the hoard. I got a chance to mess with it a bit last night and this morning. It's the hardest hoard stone that I've had so far. Even honing knives with wide bevels doesn't kick up any slurry that I can see. It has decent speed on water only, but with slurry it melts steel.

Couple of nagura in and the cashew is cured. I lapped the back on these to keep the stamps, everything is fine so far. Both are deeper strata stone and fairly hard, like 5. The kiita has a bit of rose in it, and is extremely grit-dense, the slurry turns very dark very quickly. The asagi is less ‘gritty’, but fine and very pure. When I lapped the back, I got a very pretty mizu blue.

Oh my, that is gorgeous! I've been wanting a karasu for a bit but I haven't found the right stone yet.
That may be the most beautiful karasu I have ever laid eyes on.
