Shave Den Essentials?

I am a newbie, but have some AD already. I have purchased 8 DEs, 3 straights, a couple of strops, 3 or 4 brushes, mugs, creams, soaps and a bunch of AS.

I have a bathroom that to this point has only been used very infrequently, and I want to turn it into my own bathroom/shave den. I can do pretty much anything I want to it, but don't want to spend a ton of money. To boot it is pretty small, one sink, small counter, toilet and tub. No room for any additional furniture, but I might be able to add some shelves.

I am looking for suggestions for making it the perfect shave den. I have, of course, looked at the pictures in the darkroom forum and now I'm looking for personal suggestions.

What makes your den awesome and what should I incorporate? Thanks in advance guys!

I recommend you add some nice towels and washcloths and install a towel bar/hanger for ease of use. :w00t: Most guys overlook the need for some shaving dedicated white goods.

ive got a pull out mirror that i think is pretty good when you need a closer more precise look at yourself, like when ur shaving neck and the back of your jaw..

Ive recently put in a slotted timber DE rack which is pretty unobtrusive and just screwed it straight to the wall.. a shelf would do just as well but i like the look of a rack :001_smile

I have a half bath that doesn't have a lot of room, but I found a piece of furniture at target that is essentially a cabnet on legs that goes over the toilet. It wasn't that expensive and gives some nice shelf space for towels and in your case for shaving goodies.

It's alot like this one.

My friend has one of those in his bathroom, but I have a counter that extends above the toilet, then the mirror extends above the counter, so there is NO space for furniture. Only possibility is hanging a shef.

Put a mattress in the tub and take over someones bedroom.

They sell quite attractive shelf units that take advantage of unused space, like the wall over the tub, or over the door hanging type shelves.

Don't forget you're going to need some wall space for the great shaving related prints you hang up.
