What's new

shave cream recommendations needed please

ok, I love my proraso shave cream but i'd like to branch out and try some new stuff. my next purchase will definitely be a tub of JM Frasiers, based on the great reviews from everyone here. are there other brands I should look into?

Speick is always a good choice.
Barbon (Shaving Essentials)
Godrej. If you like menthol, get the menthol mist. Much cooler than Proraso.

My Time Bath & Body makes some great creams. They are affordable ($9 and $9.50) and contain tallow. I love their menthol (coldest cream ever).

Geo F. Trumper also make great creams. Their customer service is tops too.

Taylor of Old Bond Street also have great creams and they are affordable. Get a sampler pack from Shaving Essentials.

All brands are worth trying, some even more than once . Just start somewhere, there's bound to be a dedicated following who will loudly applaud your choice.

there are lots of great products to try. i tend to like those that are less expensive, yet perform above their pay grade.

you mentioned frasiers, and that's a good one. speick is both cheap and phenomenal. kissmyface is terrific, cheap and easy to find locally. taylor's avocado. wars from poland.

all are in the under $15 club, most are under $10....which is a great place to be.

Try to get sample packs. Trumper offers one that's very good and cheap.

Also, TOBS is a nice cream, I love Roses. As mentionned, Ingrams is quite good. Omega is another one.

Try either P.160 or Cella for soaps and Musgo Real or Body Shop Maca for creams. C&E Sandalwood is very nice also for a luxury cream.

D.R. Harris Arlington is by far my favorite cream so far. Lathers easy, very smooth shave, and smells great to boot.

Better than my Trumper's Sanfalwood and easier to use than my Castle Forbes Lavender.

I tried Proraso and got great lather -- but it irritated my skin.

Those are the only creams I've used.

TOBS will make for a perfect step into the 3T's world!!:w00t:
Think Rose or Avocado:wink:...
TOBS cream are incredible value for money too!

Talking about value and amazing shaves, you could always try the Palmolive Euro Classic (green tube/cream): nothing fancy but you won't be disapointed. This one is a workhorse!

Speick is great too, the scent is out of this world and once you've mastered the tricky water ratio, provides the best cushion AND slickness you'll find in a TSA-rules approved tube!!:lol:

Oh!? Did I see someone mention the Bodyshop Maca Root cream?:001_rolle

OK, breathe now, you still have plenty of time to try'em all...:001_smile
Enjoy!!
