Shave as spa

I just had one of my greatest shaves ever.

I brought a CD player into the bathroom, and played this:

I loaded up the Valobra menthol soap, and used my Henkotsu kamisori Japanese straight razor.

I took my time, and enjoyed every little part of the experience. After the first pass, I lathered up again, and stropped the blade again. Then, I made an against-the-grain pass.

After my two-pass DFS, I rubbed on some RazoRock King Louis aftershave wax.

In essence, I turned the whole thing into a spa experience, and I feel great.

What do you do to make your shave a spa experience?

I try and make my daily shave a meditative experience as well.

I enjoy listening to old beach music, ie the drifters etc while showering and shaving in the morning.
