You mean like this.....
But that was before a bottle of wine and lots of light sanding. Post-recondition, it looks like this...
These are my home-made strops...
They're 3" wide with a stropping length of 21".
The light one is veg-tanned leather and has a cotton backing, and the dark one is English bridle leather with linen - it looks black in the photo, but it's quite a nice dark brown.
The extra strip on the right is a heavier-duty cotton webbing to use as the backing for my next strop, which will be latigo.

Top to bottom...1. Mountain Man 3" - 2. 2-3/4" Cordovan shell 3. Tony Miller Old No.2 I added the hardware.

Wow Oscroft! those are really nice. You should sell those beauties!
But what would I strop my razors on if I did that?
Seriously, thanks for the kind words. It's a nice idea, but I wouldn't really have the time to make them for sale.
