Second Restore

When you have a Dremel every hole looks too small. This started out with a itty bitty 16mm hole and I was trying to convince myself that I should buy a 16mm knot and have a cute little brush. But I have a Dremel and had a 20mm TGN Finest with extra stuffing so away we went.

I stopped at 21.5 for the hole and dropped in some washers and epoxy to give a platform with a minimum 47mm loft and will be able to play with the final height.

The extra stuffed knot looked choked (but how the heck would I know??) at 47 or 48 so I tried for 49-50. The washers are very close to 1mm so I added a couple, put the knot in bondage to make sure it seated well and went to the epoxy.

An hour later, set it free

A couple washes to get it smelling pretty

Beautiful brush. Nice Work!

What kind of handle is that?

As for the loft, looks good to me...like it would be good for face or bowl lathering.

It is a Rubberset 300. The loft is between 49 and 50 and feels great. This knot carries a lot more water than I'm used to, so the first lather was not as dense as I like and I could have burned up half of a puck of the soap trying to sop it all up.

Fun stuff. Need more drawers. It is like flocks of tribbles are multiplying.

You've done a very job. Great photos, too.
the Finest knots are my favorite. In fact, I'll be setting a 24 tomorrow.

Thanks for the comments and encouragement. The TGN finest knot is really great. This brush is getting in the way of getting my boar broken in. The 20mm is a great size to get into the soap bowls to load. I have a short loft Best and a black pure knot to drop in handles and a Finest fan and a Silvertip for creams would be nice to try..... Uh oh.....
