Schick Injector Blades

How many shaves do you get from Schick Injector blades?

I just asked this exact question in the Razor forum yesterday. Consensus seemed to be about 5-7.

I use the cvs blades and can't/won't try a 4th shave with one.

But the cvs blades are not very good.

I get the Schick blades, and I got 4 shaves before I decided enough was enough.

I can get four easily on the NOS Schick Plus Platinums, so three or four more shaves on them are not out of the question. I'm on three right now with the Chick blades (Chinese Schick).

I do two passes with touch-up, and have no trouble getting a full week of shaving from the Chinese-made Schick-branded injector blades.

Speaking of seven, does anybody have any idea why most injectors blades are sold in packs of seven? I mean single and double edge blades are sold in multiples of five. Why not injectors?

Maybe because the old blades were sold in packs of 11?
