the video looked like the device slaps something against the blade to sharpen it. weird. Most likely this thing is a ***.

its been discussed several times in the general section, it has a piece of leather it slaps against the blade to strope it, but if you ask anyone who uses a straight, you will find out that you have to do a even strope on both sides of the blade or the action is usless, eventualy bending the edge, also stroping is done on blades which are somewhat thicker then DE or Cartrige razors, which use near or even paper thin blades, on which stroping and honing does more damage then good,

this device just stropes one side of the blade, theres no point to it,

Nothing beats the commercial for pads that attach to your feet to remove toxins while you sleep. At least the razor sharpener is conceivable.
