Salter reformulation

It seems Salter has now gone paraben free on their creams as some others have done. Phil at Bullgoose graciously provided me with a pot of the sublime citrus to compare against one I already had. I'm happy to say there was no difference. It may be only slightly less dense and I'm not really sure about that but it lathers just as well as the one I already had and I got an excellent shave from it. It comes in a blue tub just as the last version did. If you have not tried Salters, it's worth giving it a try. I enjoy their scents and have always gotten very good shaves with this cream.

Any idea if the French Vetiver is still any good? I have the dregs of one of the old white tubs that I use now and then - an excellent no holds barred vetiver. I heard a rumor that it had been watered down a lot but haven't tried a recent version.

I've never tried the French Vetiver so am not sure. I understood it to be pretty strong at least in the white tubs. You might send an email to Phil at Bullgoose and see what he has to say.

This is kind of a tangent, but for those who have used any of their creams before what is the consistency supposed to be like? I just got a jar of the Mint and it is much softer and fluffier than I expected. Just wondering if that was normal.

Thanks for the report on the reformulated version. I have a tub of Sublime Citrus that's getting low and I'm glad to know the quality hasn't gone down.

@ Marley - I would say light and fluffy like Cool Whip would be a better description than dense and heavy like thick pancake batter.
