Rose gold: do you like it? Post pics of your rose gold watches if you've got 'em.

I know that for younger guys such as myself, gold is not very fashionable for whatever reason. We tend to favor silver, titanium, stainless steel, or other cool tinted metal these days. I am getting more and more into "classic" fashion, though, and gold definitely has a part to play. I am particularly taken lately with rose gold. I just love the way the rose tint seems to enrich the color of the gold and make it seem even more luxurious.

What do you guys think of it? Does it have much of a historic, classic context? Feel free to show off your rose gold watches if you have any.

i don't have a rose gold watch, but they are very nice IMHO. i used to see a lot of fancy russian watches in rose gold and couldn't stop lusting after them.

I happen to love Rose Gold, but only in fairly small doses. I can't imagine a Rose Gold watch on a bracelet, but this one on a leather strap really appeals to me.

Thanks David. Gold as used in jewellery or watchmaking is an alloy as you know. The other metals involved are adjusted in quantity to give the desired colour- you assume correctly that there is more copper included in Rose Gold.

As mentioned by global-dev, it's traditional in Russia as all gold being rose gold. I like it better than yellow I think.

i'm very proud of this watch, as I was unemployed and broke for a while about ten years ago. When I finally got back on my feet, I so badly wanted one of the watches that I admired as a kid, a Tag. After about a year, I bought this guy and have not seen anyone with this exact model since. Not all rose gold, but 18k rose gold dial and markers. I think with the gray face it looks stunning.

I too looked up MOAR.....I find that I am more Urbane than Urban....
I don't know if that's good or bad. I do know I have enough problems using a computer without learning another language...

I have a horrible time posting pictures, but I have an older Limes Handaufzug in rose gold. I put it on a caramel strap.

It pre-dates the Pharo collection, so I can't even find a link to post to show a picture of it.
