Rooney finest?

Ok I have since SBAD hit been looking into a Rooney's finest and it seems to be just about generally seen as the best money can buy. However there is a problem specifically getting one. The only place that seems to carry them is classic shaving and they are out of stock in many sizes (such as the mightily tempting stubby) which makes me apprehensive about ordering then regreting not waiting for another perhaps more appealing type. I have emailed CS with regards to the stubby and got no answer, so now I'm asking if anyone here knows of a stockist with a better selection in stock or do I just wait? Perhaps I'll just have to strech to a Plisson HMW:devil2:? and give up the dream of a Rooney.

From every source I have talked to, the Rooney finest brushes are no longer being produced. If you want one, get it now. Once they are out of stock, they will not be restocked. I have the style 2 size 1 in immitation horn, and think it's a wonderful brush. YMMV.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ok Grant too far but seriously) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!:crying: (stop it now Grant!).

I'm calm I'm calm... I'm in control. I'm getting one, I physically need this brush now.

Regards Grant

I believe only the finest in the larger sizes is still available at some vendors...the smaller ones were long gone...one crops up now and then in the forums...just keep your eyes peeled if you want one...

Have you looked at www.classicshaving.com? I think they still have some Rooney 2/1 finest brushes in stock. Ironic (sad) that you have to buy from a US vendor to have a British product shipped back to the UK.

Yes I have seen CS's Stock thanks mate but I kinda fell in love with the large stubby finest. I agree with you wholeheartedly that it's totally ludicrous that I can't buy a British product in Britain pathetic.
