Road Trip Cancelled.....But

I've decided that as the coticule quarry isn't open on a weekend that I'm not going to visit Vielsalm on Saturday.
Instead I've decided to add the saved diesel money to my coticule fund and order one BLIND.

Spoke to the fella, I think we were both speaking our second language (French - he seems to be flemish from the accent) and he is willing to choose a cracker for me and send it out today or tomorrow!!!! YIPPEEEEEE

Decided following your recommendations to get a bout 10, the biggest bout they do according to their website, and I've specified long but not too narrow.
I also asked if he'll lap it for me so here's to hoping!
Finally I've asked him to pick out a nice slurry stone as well so I'm ready to rock (get it?).

My master plan is falling into place steadily.

Have decided that I'll try and pop over to Vielsalm in the summer so will take pictures then.

Thanks for all the comments in the other threads, they've helped me make my mind up and as soon as she (is a stone a she? They are in french) I'll post some decent high def pictures!

Here's the #10 bout I just got from them. I love it.

Look up Bart Torfs over at coticule.be or artisanshaving.org (not sure how much he hangs out here these days). He's in Belgium and would most likely be very happy to help you with honing lessons over a beer.

No it didn't come lapped but I am sure they would lap it for you if you asked them before they ship it. If you can get Bart to give you lessons, you will be learning from a master honer.
