I've been gainfully self-employed for close to 20 years.

My goal, though, is to be like some of you gents: gainfully unemployed.
Just be ready to embrace it. My biggest problem was in being an underachiever for the first 35 years of my life.

Of course, by not becoming an adolescent until I hit 40, I have not only effectively delayed my adulthood, I guess I have ALSO delayed my death from old age!

If I keep this up, I'll be runnin' for Prez in 2028 doggone!

Coming up on 3 years for me when I got called into the office and asked if I wanted to help move the shop from SoCal to Largo, Florida. I had been planning on retiring the next year, which would have been 35 years at the same company.

Gave them my badge and clocked out, told them to mail me the stuff in my locker. Best thing I ever did.
